Terms of service
These terms cover use of the IntentLint website, GitHub App, dashboard, and evaluation service.
The service
IntentLint evaluates the rules in your .intentlint.yml and reports high-confidence violations as a GitHub Check. It is a rule enforcer. It is not a guarantee that a change is correct, secure, or complete, and it is not a substitute for tests, review, or your own judgment.
Accounts
You need a GitHub account and permission to install the App on a repository. You are responsible for the rules you enable and for the people who can administer the organization.
Evaluations and payment
Paid use is billed per completed evaluation, not per seat, repository, or pull request. Prices are listed on the pricing page. A new organization receives the stated free starter evaluations once. Packs are prepaid. Taxes may apply. For a billing dispute, email support@intent-lint.com.
Your content
You keep ownership of your code and rule text. You grant IntentLint the rights required to read that material, evaluate it, and publish checks back to GitHub. You can uninstall the App at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, probe it without permission, or use it to violate the law or GitHub’s terms. We may suspend access that threatens the service or other customers.
Availability
If IntentLint cannot finish an evaluation, the Check says it could not complete. That state is not a policy failure. The service is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, IntentLint is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages, and its aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
